Wild waves and the delight of flight come together in this Pacific dreamscape—Dr. Seuss’s view from his drawing board. The December 17, 1960 New Yorker profiled Ted’s “Tower Studio,” the focus of the room being his draftsman’s desk and reclining chair from which he commanded a spectacular 180-degree view of the coastline from Oceanside to Mexico. Audrey recalls, “I can’t imagine Ted really being productive without that view.”
